Heather and I attended a The Zen Bird workshop together in downtown Phoenix a couple months back. I love hearing the introductions from each person at the workshop because it shows so much about the individual. Heather had recently moved here from Houston, Texas and her love of Phoenix was shown very quickly. She was real, raw and every word she said, we all nodded in agreement. I respected the true self that Heather presented and was so happy she had settled into the ‘Valley of the Sun’. I look forward to catching up over coffee and hearing all about her trip to New York Fashion Week!
This natural makeup look with a pop of a red lip is perfection on Heather!
A little about Heather:
Why is this your favorite t-shirt?: It is my favorite Tshirt because the brand – Curated Cotton, is a local brand based in Houston. I know the owner and she’s pretty cooI. I also like supporting local. The tee is super cozy and what’s not to like about a cactus print ?!
Tell me a little about yourself: I’m Heather and I was born in Los Angeles. I’m currently a photographer at My Sister’s Closet in Phoenix. I’m also the content creator behind my fashion and lifestyle blog- LAFashionsnob.com. I’ve had the blog since November 2008, having been influenced to start a blog while I was at a local LA handmade market- Felt Club. I had really enjoyed speaking with the vendors and hearing their stories, thus I was inspired to share their stories and products with the world. Since its launch, it has grown, and will continue to grow. I focus mainly on covering fashion events (and am attending NYFW for the second time this September), but I also do reviews, highlight local/indie brands and designers, have a page showcasing my unique style, and am also trying to grow my lifestyle page, which deals with local hotels and restaurants.
I really have enjoyed the many opportunities that have come with having a blog, and I’ve met so many great people. It’s also helped me come out of my shell. Along with having a blog, I also love the desert, anything cacti, Route 66, travel, photography, thrifting, styling, and anything to do with vintage clothing and decor.
