Michelle’s Wedding

It was a great time doing Michelle, and her sister Raquel’s, makeup a couple weeks ago.  I have done Raquel’s makeup a couple times before and I was so grateful when I was suggested to Michelle on her wedding day.  I can’t wait to see the professional pictures!

T-shirt Tuesday! Mirelle Inglefield

I met Mirelle when I worked as the makeup artist for the December 2015 issue of Phoenix magazine.   Her creative sense and artful eye made for a fun shoot with great pictures!  Mirelle is a powerhouse of creativity balanced with a hard work ethic.  I loved doing Mirelle’s makeup and getting to know more about her!

A little about Mirelle:

Why is this your favorite t-shirt?:  This is my favorite t-shirt because I’m sentimental. It’s shrunken, stretchy, worn, black and we have a history together. I rode the bus to Chris Town mall and bought it at a place like Charlotte Russe, back in 2001, when I first moved to Arizona. It was worn at my first job here, the AZ Humane Society, through a slew of art classes, art projects, various moves and now it’s become my sort-of “mess” shirt. I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of it.

Tell me a little about yourself:  Art, cats, cake, candy, cheese and my love Tim are my fuel, and they pretty much sum me up.

T-shirt Tuesday! Kate O’Neill

I’ve known Kate for as long as we have been cousins- my entire life.  I am so grateful she moved to Arizona from Michigan so we can spend more time together and celebrate life’s milestones. All the laughs and good times are a great reminder of the importance of family.

Kate’s passion for a strong sense of community is inspiring.  We can all learn more about how to give back and support the local areas we live.

A little about Kate:

Why is this your favorite t-shirt?:  This is my favorite t-shirt because I love David Bowie. It’s not even authentic. I got it a Target, which is kind of sacrilege, but it was Bowie so I couldn’t help myself. It has a growing number holes, so it has recently become my favorite workout shirt.

Tell me a little about yourself:  Listening to Bowie and channeling him while working out is so empowering. It allows me to embrace my creativity and rebellious nature. It also reminds me to not let myself to get pigeonholed in one profession, one discipline, or one way of thinking, which is essential when you work in systems change and community health.

Kimes Ranch Apparel Shoot

Over the weekend I was so excited to be a part of a shoot for Kimes Ranch Apparel.  We shot in Wickenburg, Arizona and the backdrop for this shoot was stunning!  Here’s a sneak peek and behind the scenes pictures of this beautiful shoot!

T-shirt Tuesday! Nina Dillon

I met Nina several years ago when I did makeup for a wedding inspired photo shoot that she was a model for.  Nina has always been so friendly and easy to talk to, and nothing has changed.  She has beauty both inside and out.

Nina’s “be the change” shirt is by Bellapia Designs!

A little about Nina:

Why is this your favorite t-shirt?:  Not only is this shirt so soft and comfortable (I’ve been guilty of skipping pajamas and falling asleep in it), but it can be dressed up for a day out in the town.  I’m all about versatility and simplicity so this shirt is after my own heart.  What makes it even more special is the local shop it came from.  You can’t help but feel great wearing something that helps give back to your own community.  Lastly, “be the change” really resonates with me.  It’s a reminder that no matter how mundane and routine our days/weeks may look, I can still make a positive change by being more intentional and to bloom where I’ve been planted.

Tell me a little about yourself:  I still can’t believe God saw me fit to be Keith’s wife and a mommy to our two year old. They are my life! I work full time so life gets tricky, but I’ve got a great team of support that helps me figure it out one day at a time. My faith plays a huge role in my life. Each day, each season, I’m learning more to be less of me and more of the One who created me. Oh and I love anyone who loves coffee as much as I do. I also love repurposing things and buying “stuff” (as my husband calls it) for our house.

T-shirt Tuesday! Kiley Beal

I met Kiley through her sister Kori.  I was looking for a personal trainer/ yoga guru and when Kori mentioned Kiley did just that, I called her up.  I was drawn to Kiley’s friendliness and “I’ve known her forever” calmness.  She is optimistic and happy.  I am grateful for any time spent with this beautiful soul.  Her T-shirt Tuesday post gives a great reminder to live life to the fullest!

Check out Kiley as the lululemon ambassador for lululemon Chandler!  Her beautiful face can be seen brightening up the walls at the Chandler mall location.

A little about Kiley:

Why is this your favorite t-shirt?:  I love a neutral gray tshirt, especially this one because it fits every piece of my life perfectly.  I can dress it up or I can wear it to practice or teach yoga. It’s a t-shirt and this one is definitely my cotton, comfy go to.

Tell me a little about yourself:  I am a yoga instructor here in the east valley.  I teach at what seems to be everywhere and it makes me the happiest.

I live for my family, my husband, my dogs, naps, yoga and food.  I love to travel, it hugs my heart.  Whenever I am feeling stuck or I feel as though I’m simply just going through the motions, I break routine with adventure,  best friends and fresh air.A year and a half ago I started my own Mala company @with_gratitude_malas. These prayer beauties go hand in hand with my practice and love for yoga.  Even if yoga isn’t a significant part of your life, malas are a simple reminder of goals, intentions and mantras you’ve set for yourself.
I am always striving to be the best version of myself looking inward to seek my truth rather than looking outward.
It may sound cliche, but to follow your heart, your soul and intuition will provide the fulfillment no outside influence ever could.

T-shirt Tuesday! Marian Mellen

I have only known Marian for a few months, but I feel like it has been longer than that.  Initially meeting at a handmade, shop local event, I loved her inspirational The Zen Bird headbands.  I then took one of Marian’s workshops which was filled with positiveness, optimism and all around GOOD THOUGHTS.  Just like her.  Marian exudes that kind of HAPPINESS and JOY that makes you have a little extra pep in your step and to be an all around better human being- to yourself and others.

I highly recommend grabbing your The Zen Bird headband and taking one of Marian’s workshops.  You will leave feeling a little lighter, a lot more positive and ready to take on the world!  Living a positive life is contagious.

A little about Marian:

Why is this your favorite t-shirt?:  Black has always been my favorite color.  It’s classic and I’d say I’m quite the classy lady ;) Cozy, minimal and comfy.  I can feel sexy and comfy at the same time.

Tell me a little about yourself: I’m a yoga loving, down to earth and happy lady living in Central Phoenix.  Originally from Wisconsin, I love coffee and my favorite moments are spent laughing or journaling on my patio.

T-shirt Tuesday! Leah LeMoine

I met Leah at the shoot for the December 2015 issue of Phoenix magazine. She is the associate editor for the magazine and was instantly friendly, warm and welcoming.  I was so grateful to be around creative, talented people and Leah made the experience positive and memorable.  Leah exudes a great spirit and is down to earth.  I am so happy I was able to do makeup on this beauty!

A little about Leah:

Why is this your favorite t-shirt?:  My dear friend Alyssa gave me this Free People shirt for my birthday one year, and I think I’ve worn it once a week since then.  I love how swooshy and comfy it is, and how the hems are unfinished and longer on the sides.  It’s gauzy and flowy and makes me feel like Stevie Nicks when I wear it, like I’m floating around in a mist of fabric.

Tell me a little about yourself:  I love humans.  I love hearing people’s stories and learning about life and humanity through their experiences, which is why I’m so lucky to have the job that I do.  I’m a sister – to my own four little sisters and, I hope, to all women.  I’m a spiritual seeker and an editing psycho.  I love coffee and food way too much.

T-shirt Tuesday! Jillian Salatas

Munkee_0314144149 (1)

I met Jillian when we were both working in the cosmetics industry several years ago.  She was always happy, positive and fun to be around when we were working.  Jillian is empowering both women and men to take control of their lives and push themselves to succeed through her It Works business.

A little about Jillian:

Why is this your favorite t-shirt?:  This shirt represent my complete freedom of time and how I got my health back!

Tell me a little about yourself:  ✨2 years ago I was working 2 jobs full time, school full time while helping take care of my nephew I was stressed to the max, sick, unheathy tired of looking forward to the weekends! I wanted to create a life I loved, I wanted to make a difference! 2 years later I created just that, my health has improved and I own my own business with IWG (It Works Global) full time and have complete freedom of time which is priceless to me!
